Our goal is to help communities complete a feasibility study -- a comprehensive assessment of what opportunities their land holds. Companies and carbon developers will approach communities, often knowing more about the opportunity than the community does. Our role is to ensure communities negotiate from a position of power, understanding what their resources are truly worth before anyone else comes to the table.
Understand the community's territory, resources, and legal standing through participatory mapping and CADT documentation.
Train community leaders in financial literacy, governance, legal rights, and negotiation so they can engage as informed partners.
Conduct carbon, biodiversity, water, agroforestry, and ecotourism assessments to quantify what the land is worth across all revenue streams.
Deliver a comprehensive feasibility study that empowers communities to negotiate deals on their own terms, knowing the full value of their resources.
A foreign "seed-to-carbon-forest" accelerator approached a Philippine community with promises of a pilot planting program and carbon credit revenue. The agreement they presented would sign over 100% of the carbon rights — before FPIC was completed, before NCIP was engaged, and without any real compensation. The promised seedling payments never materialized. Communities deserve better than broken promises and illegal contracts.
